The Mormon Women Project is seeking poems written by Mormon women in praise of and gratitude for Jesus Christ.

These poems will be published on our website and social media in May 2018, roughly when we study the Psalms in Gospel Doctrine.

Requirements:

  • Written by a Mormon Woman (age 18+)
  • Focused on praise and/or gratitude for Jesus Christ
  • All forms of poetry are accepted. Does not need to be in traditional Psalm formatting.
  • Maximum of 150 words
  • Submitted by the deadline of April 26, 2018 (11:59 PM).

Please submit your poems to [email protected] by April 26, 2018 (11:59 PM) with “Psalm” in the subject line. In the body of the email, provide the poem, your full name and the city, state, country where you live. And attach the poem as a WORD document.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to publish all submissions. You will be notified of selection status after the deadline. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate contacting us at [email protected]

Also, April is National Poetry Writing Month. NaPoWriMo gives daily prompts for writing various types of poetry. This may help you get your imagination and words flowing.

We’re excited to read your praises and declarations of gratitude for our Savior, Jesus Christ.
